Bill Sterud

Bill Sterud was first elected to the council in 1978, and has served on the Puyallup Tribal council for more than 30 years, taking the role of chairman and vice chair on several occasions. He was most recently re-elected in 2010. Sterud represented the Tribe in negotiations that led to the Puyallup Land Claims Settlement in the late 1980s.


David Bean

David Bean is presently serving in his fourth term on the Puyallup Tribal Council. Bean is the NW Delegate for the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA). Bean is the Co-Chair of the Gaming Committee for the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians (ATNI). Bean works tirelessly with Puyallup Tribal Staff and NW Tribal Leaders in the areas of Public Safety, Health Care, Education, Natural Resources Protection and Gaming.

Sylvia Miller

Sylvia Miller was born and raised in Washington. She graduated from Stadium High School in 1977 and continued her education at Tacoma Community College and Bates Technical College. Sylvia Miller has worked for the Puyallup Tribe of Indians as a youth coordinator, fisheries secretary, executive secretary for Tribal Council, director of JTPA, law enforcement dispatcher, administration assistant. She has previously served two terms on the Tribal Council.  

Tim Reynon

Prior to his election to Tribal Council in 2014, Tim served the Tribe for over 15 years as the Executive Director of Human Resources and as a Tribal Attorney. He also served as the Chairman or Vice-Chairman of the Tribe's Housing Authority, Permanent Trust Fund Board of Trustees, and was a member of the Tribe's Judicial Committee. Tim also served on the Boeing Employee Credit Union (BECU) Board of Directors and as President of the Northwest Indian Bar Association.  He earned his J.D. degree in 1998 and his Bachelors of Social Work degree in 1995.

Annette Bryan
Annette M. Bryan is serving her first term as a Tribal Council Member. Annette’s previous work experience includes ten years as a Tribal Coordinator at the Environmental Protection Agency, and ten years as the Executive Director of the Puyallup Nation Housing Authority. Previous positions at the Tribe include working for Historic Preservation Office, the Environmental Department, and Chief Leschi ECEAP Program. Annette has served on the Election Committee and the Planning Commission for the Tribe. She has also served on the Tacoma-Pierce County Affordable Housing Consortium, the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians Housing Sub-Committee, the HUD Formula Negotiated Rule Making Committee, the Northwest Indian Housing Association, and as the Alternate on the National America Indian Housing Council. She has dedicated her career to advocacy of Native American issues and tribal sovereignty. Annette has a B.A. Degree from University of Washington Tacoma and a M. S. Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Tufts University.
